Peep Spotting
Be the first to spot the peep this competitive "Where's Waldo" style card game.
I always wanted to make a Where’s Waldo or Hidden Folks type of search game. I came across a public domain illustration library called Open Peeps by Pablo Stanley and had the opportunity to bring my game idea to life. I ended up creating a card game that took this search concept with a competitive twist.
In Peep Spotting you are racing to search for a Peep across three Crowd Cards. The peep will be on 1 of the 3 crowd cards. The catch is one of the crowd cards is facedown and the Peep may be on that card
Be the first to slap the card where you think the Peep is and you have 10 seconds to spot the Peep. If you spot the Peep you get a point. If not your opponent gets it.
Shortly after making the game I entered it into a competition on BGG and continued to iterate on it. I took it conventions, playtested it friend and my regular playtesting group. I got some positive and constructive feedback!
I came across a group called Microgame May who were a group of designs launching crowdfunding campaigns in May. I thought it was a good opportunity for my game part of this. Through this, I will be collaborating with another Micorgame May creator, One Card Maze to create a Peep Spotting edition of their game which will be a Kickstarter exclusive!
